We received four very friendly slideshows from the Ashley Rakahuri School, New Zealand’s South Island.
Throughout the month of January, the students of this country will be on summer holidays, before starting a new school year in February. We’ll use the first month of 2021 to prepare a response for them, that we hope will match their brilliant work.
Nous avons reçu quatre diaporamas très amicaux de l’école d’Ashley Rakahuri, de l’île du Sud de la Nouvelle-Zélande.
Pendant tout le mois de janvier, les étudiants de cette école seront en vacances d’été, avant de démarrer en février une nouvelle année scolaire. Nous profiterons du premier mois de 2021 pour leur préparer une réponse que nous espérons à la hauteur de leur excellent travail.

Our friends in class ! Thank you so much for the slideshow that you made for our class of students who have been looking at French in our school in Auroa, New Zealand. It made our class so happy to hear your responses and see photos of your class and school – although Brindas is a school that is very close to my heart, some of my class from this year hadn’t seen them before so we appreciated the views and the photographs. Even seeing you wearing masks was a reminder for us in New Zealand how lucky that we are at the moment with how our situation is.
I must also say that to see your teacher, my dear friend, who is famous for having been here to Auroa and New Zealand made my heart feel very happy today. It reminds me of our friends around the world.

I have left a comment on another post, but this was so good that I will leave another commment here. Thank you so much for your amazing slideshow and words. Our class of students in New Zealand sat through it and were perefectly quite and respectful the entire time. We loved hearing about your school and seeing your sections and different parts of your school – we start school at 9:00am and finish each day at 3:00pm so that was something some of our students were shocked about to think that you are lucky enought to have an extra two hours of learning each day! Amazing! To see your teacher in the photographs, who has been to New Zealand and been to Auroa was amazing, it filled Mr Webb, our teacher, with happiness, and joy.
We have some videos of our class from the students who have been learning a little French and we would like you to judge the best one, which we will send through to your teacher.
